History
Founded by Dr. Murlene "Mac" McKinnon, MACNLOW Associates began with Mac's twenty years of experience as a college professor in management communications. Her work led to expertise in the area of nonverbal behavior in interview and interrogation. In 1977, Mac formed MACNLOW Associates and began teaching regularly in this area for numerous local, state, national and international law enforcement agencies. With Mac's efforts, the company established a solid reputation for providing timely, relevant training in a variety of areas.
In 2013, Mac sold the company to the brother-sister duo of Andrew Bouck and and Kristen Bouck. Andy is the Undersheriff at the Ingham County Sheriff's Office and was previously a Sergeant with the East Lansing Police Department where he began his career in 1996. He has been an instructor with MACNLOW for nineteen years. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, and served in the United States Marine Corps. Recently Andy received the 2013 Distinguished Service Medal from the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police for working countless hours in leading the task force that took a serial rapist off the streets of East Lansing.
Kristen brings over twenty years of service in the legal business with her, including thirteen years as the Executive Director of the Ingham County Bar Association where she developed and coordinated continuing education programs for lawyers and judges. In addition, she was a leader in hospital communications/dispatch while working in the communications center of Lansing's largest hospital and Level One trauma center. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.
MACNLOW continues to be a industry leader in providing current and pertinent training and consulting services in the areas of law enforcement, 911 dispatch, fire, courts and corrections.
