This three-day course is designed specifically for first line supervisors in a corrections environment who direct, motivate, lead, appraise and discipline others. 

The course features realistic corrections-based scenarios with participants identifying and addressing potential risks and legal issues in the corrections environment such as inmate behavior management; safety and security of the facility, staff, and inmates; supervision of recordkeeping and reporting; the challenges facing small-, mid- and large-size jails; and, much more!

Our instructor is an experienced corrections supervisor who will utilize coaching, role play, exercises, self-assessments, group discussion and lecture, to enable participants to leave with new knowledge and skills in:

  • Setting expectations and holding employees accountable
  • Analyzing and resolving performance problems
  • Improving workplace communication
  • Gaining listening and assertion skills
  • Coaching others for improved work performance
  • Learning behaviors and characteristics of quality leaders
  • The role of motivation in performance
The cost of the course is $375 per person.
